Minneapolis gains some status points

February 28, 2009

I made the best of Minneapolis yesterday, (despite the frozen tundra) and attended an event put on by Twin Cities Luxury and Fashion magazine and OPM Boutique in St. Louis Park.

OPM has been open in Minneapolis for about four months and is one of the few high end designer boutiques Minneapolis has to offer. We also have an Edina based Monique Lhuillier, a downtown based Neiman Marcus, and a few high end designer consignment stores to name a few.

OPM sells some Loeffler Randall (one of my favorites!), Catherine Malandrino and Valentino. And yes, they sell the Valentino Patale Rose tote, which I was lusting over the whole night. Oh and don’t even worry about it, they sell leggings by Lindsay Lohan.

The night consisted of free wine and appetizers and a fashion show displaying items from the store. Oh and there was a raffle last night and my friend Sarah won a Bentley for a day, no big deal.

I think it’s great that Minneapolis is welcoming shops like OPM into the city. Minneapolis is under-looked for fashion, but there are a lot of designer enthusiasts here. I hope to see shops like OPM continue to pop up throughout the city. I recommend going and taking a look at what OPM has to offer when you get a chance.
