A little soul at 79th and Lexington

March 24, 2009

I found a couple Cd’s my parents purchased from a group of musicians I heard in New York while I was there in January. My dad came across the group after getting off the subway one stop east of the Met. Normally I don’t appreciate my dad’s taste in anything music, but after kicking and screaming a bit about how I didn’t want to waste my last day listening to an underground subway concert, I obliged and went with my parents to the subway station on 79th and Lexington and had a listen of Acapella Soul.

They are very soulful. Here’s a video I found of them on YouTube:

I’m sorry that the best quality video had to be them singing “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.”
